Anne–Marie from Brambleberry was a presenter at the 10th annual Alabama Soap Meeting in June 2008. She was delightful and very informative. We are very appreciative!

Anne–Marie Faiola is the owner and founder of Bramble Berry Inc, (www.brambleberry.com), Otion–The Soap Bar (www.otionsoap.com), daily soap blog The Soap Queen (www.soap-queen.blogspot.com) and Teach Soap (www.teachsoap.com), an instructional site dedicated to furthering the art and science of soapmaking. Anne–Marie originally wanted to be in the FBI and had a brief, but unsuccessful stint as a correctional officer that convinced her she wanted to be self-employed. She founded Bramble Berry in 1997 with the goal of providing quality soapmaking products to the soapmaking community. From those humble beginnings in her living room with just 15 products, Bramble Berry has grown to encompass a diverse product line with over 2500 items, including a growing line of candle supplies and complex toiletry line.

In 2003, Anne–Marie realized another dream of hers when she founded Otion–The Soap Bar, where you can touch, smell and feel all the products that Bramble Berry carries in a retail setting, in addition to learning new skills through classes and parties. Otion is located in downtown Bellingham and is now in its fifth year of business and is fully profitable. Anne–Marie is excited to expand this retail concept in the upcoming years.

Anne–Marie’ s recipes and projects have been published in numerous magazines from the Herb Companion and Herb Quarterly to Crafts and Arts and Crafts magazine; in addition, she has been a featured guest on DIY’ s CraftLab, FOX show “Maximim Living,” “Northwest Notebook on KVOS” and appeared on Home Shopping Network, representing Bramble Berry kits.

Anne–Marie lives in Bellingham, WA and enjoys participating in two book clubs, a knitting club, running and playing piano.
