Debbie and her husband Dave own Wholesale Supplies Plus, Inc.. Wholesale Supplies Plus currently stocks over 2,000 products that are packaged and ready to ship. They employ over 35 staff members and continue to help over 100,000 customers.

Sharon Jernigan, better known, as Grumpy Girl, will also be speaking at the 2010 Alabama Soap & Candle Association Meeting! She is famous for her amazing soaps that make soapers everywhere say "How In The World Did You Do That?".

We hope you will come and join us too! The 12th annual Alabama Soap & Candle Association Meeting will be held at the Doster Center in Historic Downtown Prattville, Alabama! We have a link to the Rand-McNally website that will give you step by step directions to the meeting location when you provide your starting point.

When you register for the meeting, don't forget to order your very own ASCA APRON. You'll be soaping in style. Aprons can be picked up at the meeting but must be pre-ordered.

The Alabama Soap and Candle Association began as the Alabama Soap Meeting in 1998 with 4 members, and has grown to well over 100 members. Join our Yahoo Group to keep up with activities like monthly luncheons, our winter gathering, and more.

We promise fun, fellowship, food, (my three favorite "f's"!), education, and some awesome shopping opportunities. There will be several vendors there from whom you can buy on the spot, and many of our generous sponsors will provide samples of new products so we can try before we buy. Put this event on your calendar now.... it'll be the *must attend* event of the Summer of 2010! There are always several swaps that you can participate in. We promise you two fun-filled days of amazing speakers and demos. We have had amazingly generous sponsors who provide items for door prizes and for our goodie bags. I'm sure that they will be even more generous in 2010. Some of our vendors may offer specials such as free delivery to the meeting.

Look how much we've grown! We almost couldn't get everyone in the shot for the 2009 group photo, and this isn't everyone. A few had to leave early and there are always a few that can't resist a last chance to shop with vendors. We may not all be in the photo, but we definitely all had a fabulous time!

Alabama Soapmakers


We are growing in leaps and bounds. Attendance at the 11th Annual Alabama Soap and Candle Association Meeting in June 2009 surpassed our wildest expectations. We had over 100 people in attendance. Kelly J. Bloom of Southern Soapers was our keynote speaker. She spoke to attendees on Trademarking & Branding Architecture for Your Soap Business, and also covered the importance of creating and maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
