2008 Alabama Soap Meeting Swaps

The swaps are a favorite part of the annual Alabama Soap Meeting. It's like Christmas in June! It's a wonderful opportunity to see how creative our members can be. The following swaps were offered in 2008:

Favorite Holiday Soap Swap
Theme - "Pick your favorite holiday and make a fun soap".

Floral Swap
Theme -"Anything flowery - chose your favorite and make any product you like".

Scrub-a-Dub
Theme - "Body scrub, face scrub, foot scrub any scrub you like".

Business Card Swap
Theme -"Bring your business cards to share. It doesn't matter if they're professionally made or printed on your home printer...Just so long as they're *yours*, and you're willing to share. You may find some ideas that will work, a new layout perhaps, or maybe a jolt of color to jazz up your image".

Charity
We request that all swap participants make an extra item to be donated to charity, but everyone can donate. Bring any extras that you may wish to donate to the meeting. We will annouce our charities for 2009 soon. In 2008, our chosen charities were Adullam House and the Women's Transition Center (LIFE), both located in Wetumpka.

Adullam House is a Christian organization, a safe haven for children of incarcerated parents. Adullam House is totally run and operated by donations. To learn more about Adullam House, please visit www.newconvictions.org. You can find out more about The Women's Transition Center (LIFE) here. We'll be donating products that are suitable for children to Abdullam House and the rest will be donated to the Women's Transition Center (LIFE).
